A last-moment vacancy (Thư mời tham dự để lấp chỗ 
trống ở phút cuối) 
Những chỗ trống ở phút cuối có thể xảy ra ở những bữa 
tiệc mời ăn tối. Gửi thư mời để lấp chỗ trống là một vấn đề 
cần phải cư xử hết sức khéo léo, tế nhị, phải làm sao để 
người nhận thư mời cảm thấy họ được nhờ lấp chỗ trống 
ở một vị trí rất đặc biệt. 
Ngoài ra các bạn cũng nên giải thích ngắn gọn tình huống 
để người nhận thư hiểu rõ hơn.

Nếu người nhận thư trong tình huống này không thể đồng 
ý tham dự bữa ăn thì họ nên thông báo và đưa ra một lý 
do phù hợp để từ chối. Họ sẽ được đánh giá cao nếu làm 
như vậy. 
For an informal luncheon (Thư mời ăn trưa không 
trang trọng) 
Thư mời ăn trưa không trang trọng thường là bức thư 
ngắn được gửi đi từ năm đến bảy ngày trước khi bữa tiệc 
ăn trưa được diễn ra.

chỉ nên dùng trong những trường hợp thực sự thân thiết.

Tiệc tổ chức tại vườn thực chất là một bữa tiệc ngoài trời 
nhưng không cầu kỳ, trang trọng mà khá thân mật.

trường hợp trên thực sự rất phóng khoáng, tùy theo sở 
thích của các bạn, hầu như không phải tuân thủ theo bất 
kỳ nguyên tắc nào cả.

Đầu tiên phải kể đến bức thư Thomas Bailey Aldrich mời
