I. Introduction: The lesson belongs to Unit 12: Life’s an adventure!of New Headway elementary book. It introduces the basic knowledge about the usage of going to future, infinitive of purpose; vocabulary about the weather; writing to make suggestions.

II. Aims:

1. Knowledge:

- Get acquainted with stress and intonation

- Use “going to” to talk about future plan, infinitive to talk about purpose

- Ask and answer about weather

- Get more vocabulary about some kinds of sports and some verbs

2. Skill:

- Reading the vocabulary fluently.

- Practicing speaking skill.

- Practicing listening skill

3. Attitude:

- Paying attention to the lesson.

- Contributing the ideas to the lesson.

- Working in groups enthusiastically.

II. Aims:
Knowledge: 
- Get acquainted with stress and intonation 
- Use “going to” to talk about future plan, infinitive to talk about purpose
- Ask and answer about weather 
- Get more vocabulary about some kinds of sports and some verbs
Skill:	
Reading the vocabulary fluently.
Practicing speaking skill.
Practicing listening skill

Pre-reading
1.- Divide Ss into four groups
- Provide them pictures of some sports (skiing, motor racing, windsurfing, sky-diving, bungee jumping, bodyboarding)
- Ask Ss to work in groups to match pictures with right names
- Ask Ss to choose the three most dangerous sports and explain why
2. – Ask Ss to work in pairs to match a verb with a noun or phrase in task 1 p94
While- reading
3-4. - Ask Ss to look through reading text
- Pre-teach them some important new words/ expressions
- Read the whole text once
- Ask Ss to work in two groups
Group A reads about Clem, Group B reads about Sue to answer questions about the person they in charge
- Alternatively ask for answer of each question about Clem and Sue
- Ask two Ss in each groups to tell Ss of the other groups about their person
Interviews
1. Ask Ss in group A to make questions about Sue and answer questions about Clem and vice versa
2.- Call 2 pairs to make interviews

- Ask Ss to close their book and try to memorise what they can remember about their person
- Ask 2-4 Ss to read 4 paragraphs of the whole text( if there is some time left)

.- Ask Ss to look at words in the box and guess meanings
- Ask Ss to look at symbols and elicit them about what those symbols are
- Ask Ss to match symbols with those words
- Ask Ss to look at adjectives and match them with symbols
2.- Ask Ss to read through three questions and answers about the weather 
- Ask Ss to find out the similarity (to ask about the weather with question “What + to be + the weather + like”) and difference among those three questions (present simple, past simple, be going to)
- Play CD for Ss to complete
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer about the weather where they are today, yesterday, and tomorrow (they can look out of the window for the answer of question about the weather today)
- Call 2 pairs to present
3. – Ask Ss to work in pairs: student A look at information on p 96, student B at information from teacher
- Tell Ss that they will ask and answer questions about the weather round the world yesterday as the given example about Athens (using past simple tense)
- Call 3 pairs to practice
4.- Ask Ss to work in pairs to base on the information to ask and answer question to find out which city is the hottest (Luxor – Egypt), the coldest (Moscow) and which month (March) it is in their opinions
- Call 2 pairs to practice asking and answering
- Look at words and guess the meanings
- Look at symbols and guess what they are
- Match symbols with words
- Match adjectives with symbols
- Read through questions and answers about the weather
- Find out the similarity and difference among those questions

1. - Divide Ss into four groups: group 1 and group 3 make a list of things they can do in good weather, group 2 and group 4 in bad weather
- Call one student in each group to tell the whole class about things they can do beginning with “In good weather/ bad weather, we can.”

2.- Ask Ss to read through the beginning of two conversations
- Elicit Ss to guess the answer to complete B’s suggestions (it must be a verb)
3. Ask Ss to work in pairs to match those lines with the two conversations in ex 2 and put them in correct order to complete the conversations
- Play CD for Ss to check
- Call 2 pairs to practice the conversations
4. – Ask Ss to work in pairs to make conversations suggesting what to do when the weather is good or bad, basing on the list in task 1
