Warm up/Check-up: - Greeting - Checking attendance - Checking old lesson: T: Asks some ss to go to the board to describe about their friends Ss: Do T's request T: corrects and give marks 2. New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities I. Pre/Before-stage: - Activity 1: brainstorming + Asks Ss list words for describing body build, and hair + Gives feedbacks in English and takes note on the board - Activity 1: Pre-teach vocabulary + Has Ss retell the meanning Curly ( picture): xoăn fair ( explain): vàng hoe slim ( picture): thanh mảnh Bald (picture): hói straight (explain): thẳng blonde (explain): vàng hoe + Has Ss repeat + Has Ss read in chorus, then individuals + Checking: Rub out and remember Answer in Vietnamese retell the meaning Repeat read II. While/During/ Controlled-stage: - Activity 1: Present sentence partern + Shows Ss a picture of Mary and ask them to describe her hair , her body build Ex : She has long blond hair She is short and thin + Has Ss repeat + Elicits the forrm and states the usage S + have / has + adjective + hair S + be + adjectives + Gives examples + Has Ss repeat and read in chorus the examples - Activity 2: Practice Word cue drill - Prepare 6 cards so that students can drill easily . a. He / tall / thin b. She / short / slim c. He / short / fat d. Long / black e. Curly / blond f. Straight / brown - Ask Ss to read their complete sentences aloud - Correct and give feedback a. Practice speaking - Ask Ss to look at six people in their books . - Call on a student to describe one person , the others have to guess who he / she is * Example : S1 : This person is short and thin . She has long blond hair . S2 : Is this Mary ? - Yes Go on until six people on the poster are described Activity 3: Listening + Describes any person in textbook, has Ss listen and name the person Work in group Repeat Look at and take note Repeat and read Read all the adjectives aloud . a. He is tall and thin . b. She is short and slim . c. He is short and fat . d. She has long black hair . e. She has curly blond hair . f. She has straight brown hair . Look at the picture and read the example aloud Copy and give some examples . Work individually Listen and name III. Post/ After/ Free-stage: - Activity: Post - Speaking, Writing + Asks Ss to write all the sentences they have described above Consolidation: + Has Ss retell how to describe Write Retell IV.
