của bài học hôm nay là câu Do you like your job? Bạn có thích việc mình làm không? Bài học 
hôm nay chú trọng về cách dùng tĩnh từ và trạng từ (adjectives and adverbs). Quí vị sẽ thăm cửa 
hàng quần áo của bà Maria Alvarez. 
a store=cửa hàng 
store manager=quản lý tiệm 
clothing store=tiệm bán quần áo 
Phân biệt cách đọc và cách dùng hai chữ cloth/clothes. Cloth=hàng vải hay lụa. A piece of 
cloth =một mảnh vải hay lụa; tương tự có chữ fabric, material. I need three yards of cloth = 
tôi cần ba thước anh hàng vải. [yard=0.944 meter]. Để chỉ một tu-sĩ, có chữ “man of the 
cloth.” Clothes=(số nhiều) quần áo; đồng nghĩa: clothing (nói chung, số ít)=quần áo. Còn có 
chữ garments cũng có nghĩa là quần áo. 
I manage a clothing store=tôi làm quản lý một tiệm bán quần áo 
I work ten hours a day=tôi làm việc 10 giờ mỗi ngày. 
downtown=trung tâm thương mại trong thành phố hay tỉnh 
a good salary=lương cao 
a low salary=lương thấp 
San Jose= tên thành phố ở California. [chữ Jose đọc là hô zê] 
Where is it located? tiệm quần áo ở đâu?
