1. The reasons for giving name:
- Differentiate a person from others
- Names can say the wishes of the parents to their children
- Name is a person’s personal beauty
The name is very important. I think there’re three main reasons for giving
names.
- Reason 1: to differentiate a person from others.
- Reason 2: Names can say the wishes of the parents to their children
- Reason 3: Name is a person’s personal beauty
There is more than 5 billions people in the earth and everyday we meet each
other to communicate so certainly everyone need have a name to
differentiate person from others.
I think all of the parents in this earth want their children have a beautiful
life when they grow up so they often recommend their wishes to children in
the names. For example, in Vietnamese, name Quang can say that the
parents want their son will be successful when he grow up…

Name is a person’s personal beauty. Yes, sometime we can’t like a person
only because of their name. There are many beautiful name, i like some
name – For example: Hong , Minh Ha (Dong song sang in Vietnamese), Duc
Trong (my name, hj)…
Beside the three reasons, there are many another reasons, but I think they’re
main reasons.
2. The ways to remember a person’s name:
- Remember a person’s name with his or her appearance
- Usually use their name when you communicate
- Connect the name to common word
- Correct the name
Remembering a name may be a simply work and you rarely ask yourself
how you remember a person name? For me, i often remember a person’s
name by connect the name with their appearance, especially with their face.
Normally if you can remember a person’s appearance, you will remember
their name. Moreover, to remember a person’s name I think you should
usually use their name when you communicate. Because when you use a
name a lot, certainly the name will be remembered in your mind . And you
can connect the name to common words to remember the name. For
example: my name is Trong and someone connect it to the phrase “Trong
Dai”… Someone often correct the name of others to remember their name
more easily, For example: name Chi they can correct to “Chi Pheo”… but I
think we shouldn’t correct everybody’s name if they don’t like. Everyone
have their difference methods to remember a person’s name and that’s
some methods I’ve used to do that.
3. My favourite singer
- Singer’s name: Ung Hoang Phuc
- Original name: Nguyen Quoc Thanh
- Appearance: handsome
- Voice: warm, have a typical voice

- Career: started singing when he was 19, a old member of boy band 1088,
he have published 4 personal CD (vol 1, vol 2,vol 3, vol 4), now he is one
of managers of Entertainment World Co.
I must say that my most favourite singer is Ung Hoang Phuc. A boy singer.
Ung Hoang Phuc’s original name is Nguyen Quoc Thanh. He is a handsome
boy and he possess a typical voice – a warm voice. Ung Hoang Phuc is a
successful singer. He started working as a singer when he was 19 year old.
At the start, he was a member of boy band 1088. When 1088 was broken up,
Ung Hoang Phuc began his own career, he’ve had 4 personal CD so far (
Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3, Vol 4) and he is preparing for publishing Vol 5, all of
them is sold very well. Now Ung Hoang Phuc is one of manages of
Entertainment World company. Ung Hoang Phuc is a wonderful singer, not
only me but also most of my friends like him, too. ( A my friend – Thanh, She
like Ung Hoang Phuc so much that she always listen to Ung Hoang Phuc’s
song when she turn on her computer). Ung Hoang Phuc is too wonderful.
4. What can music help us in our life?
- For relaxing
- Music is one of the arts of human and music make our life more
beautiful.
- Music can calm someone’s melancholy and increase someone’s
pleasure.
- To cheer everybody
Someone says “Music is a part of life!”. Yes, I think it’s very exact. Music is
anything very important in this life. What would happen if there wasn’t any
music in the life? I’m sure that it would be very terrible! Music can help us
to relax in the free time after a hard workday. You will feel very comfortable
if after working hard you listen to your favourite songs. Music is one of the
arts of human and music make our life more beautiful. Music can help
someone calm melancholy and warm heart when they’re tired. Music also
increase our pleasure when we’re cheerful. Music can cheer us when we
have difficulties. You see! Vietnamese have got a lot of songs, for example:
“Co gai mo duong”, “Chiec gay Truong So”, “Co gai Sai Gon di tai

dan”… They’re wonderful songs of red music and they’re one of things
created Vietnamese victory in the part. Music isn’t material but it’s a part of
this life and we wouldn’t live if we lacked music.
5. Is money important in your life? Why?
- Money is very important in the life.
- The power of money:
Help you do most of the things you like. Eg: buy anything you want,
buy a building, buy a car… also health.
You will be famous if you have very a lot of money
With money you can help someone who’s poor.
- Money is not everything:
 It’s very difficult to buy a person only with money.
 Love and friendship can’t be bought by money.
- Money can bring someone to crime
- We must have a true attitude to money.
Money is very important in the life. It can make your life more beautiful.
Yes, with money you can buy most of things you want from the smallest to
the largest. For example: a present for your friend, a beautiful house, a
expensive car… May be also your health. And you will famous if you have
very a lot of money (like Bill Gates!). Yes, the fame can be bought by money.
And if you have a lot of money you can help someone who’s poor by
donating.
 Money is just very important, but money is not everything in the life. For
example: it’s very difficult to buy a person only with money. Or love and
friendship can’t created on money, it must created on itself… And for me, I
think love is more important than money.! On the other hand, money can
bring someone to crime if he or she only live because money.
 I must repeat “money is very important in the life but it isn’t everything!”.
So you must have true attitude to money.
6. What’s is the best job in the world:
- The best job in the world is teacher.
- A noble work.

- A relaxed work.
- A cheerful work.
- Can meet a lot of people everyday
I think teacher is the best job in the world (yes, your job). Because it’s a
noble work. Everyday you teach your students, you bring them knowledge.
You make a person more perfect. Teacher is very noble!. It’s a relaxed work
too. I think so. You don’t have so much pressure in your work, you don’t
have to worry about your work everyday… And teacher is a cheerful work
and you can meet a lot of people everyday, I think it’s very interesting.
Although teachers haven’t got a lot of money, your salary is not as high as
the salary of some another works but money is not everything! I think we feel
happy with our job, it’s the most important thing.
7. The last time I go shopping to buy a present for my girl friend
- The present is a compass – a present for Christmas day.
- I bought it in a bookshop Hoang Van Thu Street near Victory Hotel.
- I had to spend a whole afternoon seeking it.
- She liked it very a lot when I gave her.
- I said: “ With this compass, you will never lose me!”
That was near the Christmas day of this year. And I wanted to buy a present
for my girl friend. I decided to buy a compass, it’s a thing I like very much
when I was a baby. I had to spend a whole afternoon seeking it. And finally
I had found it in a bookshop in Hoang Van Thu Street near Victory Hotel.
And I was very cheerful. It cost me 45.000 VND. It is not cheap for me but I
think the price is logical. In the Christmas day evening I gave my girl friend
the present, and I said: “ With this compass, you will never lose me!” ( in
Vietnamese is “Với chiếc la bàn này, em sẽ không bao giờ lạc mất anh!”).
Then I took her to the church of Thai Nguyen City. In the evening, we were
hand in hand and we had walked on the street, eaten something on the
pavement (sidewalk)… That’s a wonderful present and it bring me a
wonderful evening. I would never forget that memory.
