I.The past simple:
1. Diễn tả một hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ, không liên quan đến hiện tại, thường đi với các trạng từ: ago, yesterday, last.. in(year)
Lan finished her homework yesterday.
2. Diễn tả một hành động thường xảy ra trong quá khứ như một thói quen
When I was a child I used to play with a doll.

Form: Động từ quy tắc:
Xem cột 2 nếu là động từ bất quy tắc: be →was; do → did; go → went 
- S + DID NOT + Vinf
DID + S + V inf?
Câu phủ định và nghi vấn
I didn’t go to school yesterday. What did you do last night?
II.The past simple with WISH: 
S + WISH + S +past simple
Câu ước này xảy ra ngay hiện tại nhưng không có thật
Chú ý : be → were cho tất cả các ngôi
Mai wishes she were a singer. Nam wishes he were a good student.
*Thực trạng: He doesn’t have a car. → (ước) He wishes he had a car.
UNIT 2: 
I. The present perfect tense:
1. Diễn tả một hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ kéo dài đến thời điểm hiện tại.
I haven’t seen him for a year.
2. Diễn tả một hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ, có thể còn liên quan đến hiện tại và tương lai. 	→ I have learnt English for 6 years
Thường dùng với các trạng từ: just, already, recently, lately, up to now, so far, never, ever, notyet.
Ta dùng với SINCE để nói mốc thời gian, vời FOR để nói thời lượng.
We have lived here for 2 months. → We have lived here since October.
S + have/ has + Past Participle (PP)
Form: 
PP : quy tắc như QK đơn BQT xem cột 3: be → been; go → gone; take → taken
